Korsika Winter Camp

Corsica is a unique destination for kayaking. From mid-November onwards, the water levels on the island are typically excellent. The autumn and winter rainfall, which is significantly higher than in spring, fills the Corsican rivers and often creates ideal kayaking conditions that last well into the post-Christmas period.

The days in November and December are shorter than in spring, which makes us value every minute of daylight during this time of year. On the long evenings, we will have plenty of time to gather together and prepare a nice meal. As always, our base will be the Ernella campsite, but this time we will be staying in the rooms and utilizing the campsite's kitchen and dining room as a group.

Large Course and River Selection

We offer a variety of kayak courses at our Corsica Winter Camps, covering almost the entire spectrum of whitewater difficulty levels, from the F1 to the Creek 2 Course. This allows you to select a course that is best suited to your paddling skill level. If you find that you've signed up for the wrong course, you can easily switch to a more suitable one on site at any time.

The Campsite and the Island in Autumn/Winter

The Corsica Winter Camps are truly unique experiences. During this time of year, you get the feeling of having the whole island to yourself, as very few tourists and no other kayak groups are on the island. We have been travelling to Corsica in November and December since 2019. Milou, the nicest campsite owner in the world, opens it especially for us and provides us with all his infrastructure.
